A documentary of my conversion of a 1976 BMW 2002 to electric power

The beginning
My brother Scott donated some time to help me pull the car home from it's previous rusting place. He also donated his macho pickup to do the mule work of dragging it home.
I started this project in 2008, and have been slowly working on things when I have the time/$$ to do so. Why convert an old car to electric? Because I think it's fun! Plus, I truly think that electric cars can solve a lot of our energy issues. I have a nice future vision of driving my car through the gorge past the wind turbine farms, knowing that my batteries were lent a few electrons from those very same turbines... no foreign oil involved.
I love 2002's and this one was picked up for not too many $$, it's a '76, and it needs some work. 1976 is the first year cars have to go through DEQ, and I couldn't get him to pass emissions. So I pulled the motor and began the process.
